Summary of Duties
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of key production equipment used in manufacturing heat exchangers for the vehicle OEM market. Includes daily operation, changeovers and setups, as well as responsibility for the quality and through-put for the products produced.
Essential Job Functions
- Interact with supervisors and co-workers as needed.

- Prepare Product Equipment for Operation by following work instructions.
- Document Production and Production process by completing daily reports to reflect work assignment, productivity and quality by following work instructions, control plans and check sheets, and performing PM where required.
- Maintain Quality Standards by adhering to all work instructions, control plans, and visual aids pertaining to each work line/cell. Any questions/non-conformances are to be brought to the attention of their supervisor/team leader.
- Help prepare others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational production (as per work instructions) and works as a team player.
- Maintain production line/cell operations by solving production process problems, making equipment adjustments, reporting production, quality data, needed changes, and decisions made, referring questions to the supervisor/team leader, and following work instruction, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations including wearing required personal safety protection equipment.
- Accountable for timely changeovers / set-ups per routing standards.
- Accountable for reliability of changeover / set-ups to produce acceptable parts.
Required Experience / Education:
- 5-7 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge and skills with programmable logic controls (PLC).
- Experience working on equipment in order to perform trouble-shooting and machine maintenance.
- Experience working with metal fabrication and forming.
- Trained in work instructions and control plans needed to perform assigned operations.
- Capable of working efficiently and making critical decisions without direct supervision.
- Knowledge of basic measuring equipment to check accuracy of product (mostly blue-print reading).
- Other skills may be required to perform work instructions of assigned operations, such as brazing, welding, and other technical skills.
Working Conditions:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Temperature periodically exceeds 90 degrees. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection and steel toe shoes.
